CONGRATULATIONS

FEBRUARY 2004

California Flight Academy boasts it’s very own wide receiver, Tim Baker. Born in Amarillo Texas, Tim was all-area selection as a junior at Borger High School in Borger, Texas. In college Tim, while majoring in business and finance, posted the second highest single season reception mark in conference history catching 22 passes for 370 yards and two touchdowns as a junior in 1999. He subsequently led the Big 12 in receptions with 69 for 765 yards and seven touchdowns at Texas Tech as a senior in 2000. Tim went on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Carolina Panthers and was signed by the San Diego Chargers in 2003. Besides Tim’s obvious love of football and flying, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys fishing, camping hiking etc. Tim intends to continue with his Instrument rating and from there, well the sky’s the limit.

Tim we hope those airplanes aren’t as hard on your knees as the football has been! We love you!

The proud family of Landon Pann gathered around him today to congratulate him on his first solo flight. Landon, who turned 16 years old on the 17th of Feb has been an aviation enthusiast his entire life. Landon likes to go fast and gladly accepts challenge. Before taking up flying, Landon was an outstanding member of The Phantom Racing Team, one of only 12 factory BMX race teams in the world. Landon aspires to be a professional pilot and intends to complete his private and instrument rating by the age of 17 and hopes to be a Certified Flight Instructor by 19. We are all proud of you Landon: keep up the great work! By the way: no racing in that new truck of yours!)
