COURSES
100% Financing On Approved CreditCalifornia Flight Academy is a certified flight training facility approved by the VA and FAA under Part 141 (Private Pilot, Instrument and commercial ratings) and Part 61 (CFI, CFII and ATP ratings) of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). Thousands of pilots have trained with us successfully. Whether you are just interested in getting your private pilots license or wish to progress all the way up to an Airline Transport Pilot rating, we have a program that's just right for you.

Below is a list of the courses we offer and the price of each course based on the FAA minimum requirements. Note that customers wishing to earn their Airline Transport Pilot rating will realize a substantial cost savings by enrolling in the full program rather than purchasing each course separately. Details on the ATP Program are HERE.

The courses are arranged in a logical progression to help you find the course or series of courses that will help you achieve your goals. Biennial Reviews, Complex Aircraft, High Performance and Type Ratings are done on a per-hour basis and are not listed here.

TIP:
ALL ABOUT TIME AND MONEY

The true cost of flight instruction depends almost entirely on the frequency of training, how well a student picks up the skills of flying and on how much they apply themselves during the course. That is the primary reason you will not find a legitimate school quoting a hard and fast price for any license or rating. Instead, they all quote prices based on the FAA minimum time requirements, just as you see below. Realistically, almost no one can complete a Part 141 course within the FAA minimums, but it's a good way to compare prices between schools.

Finally, California Flight Academy is an approved LaserGrade testing center and all required FAA Written tests are performed at our facility.
