The Jet Transition Program introduces students to the multi-crew environment in which procedures, profiles, and decisions are shared by a crew.
The program is designed to help each student prepare for a professional pilot career. California Flight Academy outlines what a professional career in aviation is about. Their combined experiences are a valuable resource.
This program also introduces students to advanced aircraft concepts, systems, navigation, and performance to help them in their future interviews and airline training. This involves all aspects of flying an aircraft with various levels of automation.
Students in the Jet Transition Program will have the opportunity to fly a Cessna Citation, CE-500. Students may enroll in the Jet transition course after the completion of their Commercial Multi-Engine Rating. The course includes a two-day ground school, and five hours in the jet. Additional hours are available upon request.
Upon completion of the course, students earn a Second in Command (SIC) Certification.
