LINKS AND RESOURCES |
Good pilots never loose
their thirst for knowledge or their desire for more information.
Knowing this, we've put together a list of some of the more popular
and informative pages and links on a wide variety of aviation subjects.
Some are pages our instructors and students have developed and others
are links to other web sites. We think you'll find a great many
of them very helpful, whether you are an experienced pilot or a
new student. Naturally, if you have any comments or know of a site
or resource we should add here, we've love to hear from you. Please
feel free to write us at info@flycfa.com
and tell us!

Current
FARs and SFARs
Nothing like getting the current
regulations directly from the source! The FAA FAR and SFAR database
is updated continuously and represents all current rules and
regulations published.
Free
FAA Knowledge Test Practice
Aeromedia, an up-and-coming vendor
of test-prep software, provides this site free of charge. Not
bad, but you'll need a copy of the FAA figures for some questions
and it is unclear how often the database is updated. A good
tool when used in conjunction with lesions and the more traditional
test-prep software.

Gillespie
Weather (SEE)
Good pilots are weather junkies.
It seems we're always looking for the latest forecasts from
the best sources. One of the most reliable is the National Weather
Service.
NOAA
Aviation Weather Center
The National Weather Service's
Aviation Weather center is the definitive source for all domestic
aviation weather reports and forecasts
DUATS
Free access to DynCorp DUATS is
available to U.S. pilots and student pilots who hold current
medical certificates, flight instructors without current medicals,
aviation ground instructors, glider/balloon pilots and other
approved users in the U.S. aviation community. Pilots can also
check out the Cirrus
Software for DUATS.
NOTAMS
This is the FAAs electronic version
of the printed publication, Notices to Airmen, which is published
every 28 days. Two editions of the publication are on their
web site.
